Here's My Story

2010 - 2015

Bachelors and Masters Degree in Psychology | University of Mumbai

🎓 Building the Foundation

My journey began with a deep dive into the human mind. Armed with curiosity and empathy, I spent five transformative years mastering the art of understanding human behavior—what drives us, what inspires us, and what makes us tick.

This foundation sharpened my ability to observe, analyze, and empathize, laying the groundwork for my career in research.

2016 - 2018
Consumer Behaviour Analyst
🛒 Cracking the Consumer Code

I jumped into the fast-paced world of consumer research, decoding trends, preferences, and motivations for FMCG, retail, and F&B clients.

From running focus groups to uncovering insights, I delivered data-driven strategies that helped brands connect with people on a deeper level.

This phase ignited my passion for turning complex human behaviors into actionable business solutions.

2019 - 2022

User Behavior Analyst

💻 Connecting User Needs to Digital Solutions

Curious about how people interact with technology, I pivoted toward user research for tech-driven products.

I led end-to-end research studies, collaborating with product and design teams to create solutions that were not just functional but delightful.

Whether it was simplifying digital payment experiences or enhancing online learning tools, I became the storyteller who connected user needs to technology design and strategy.

This period shaped my belief: Good design starts with listening to people.

2023 - 2025
👩🏻‍🎓 Redesigning My Path: Mastering HCI

MS in Human-Computer Interaction | University of Maryland

Fueled by years of experience and a thirst for deeper impact, I returned to school to explore the intersection of psychology, design, and technology.

At UMD, I’m combining research prowess with design thinking to create user-centered, innovative solutions that truly empower people.

Spring 2024

Teaching Assistant

 INST 710 Research Methods Class

📘 Sharing Knowledge: Teaching Experience

Driven by a passion for mentoring, I stepped into the classroom to unravel the complexities of qualitative research for graduate students. I delivered engaging lectures that transformed intricate theories into approachable concepts, sparking curiosity and confidence.

Classroom learning wasn’t confined to textbooks—I wove in real-world examples from my own user research projects, client interactions, and industry experience, connecting theory to practice in a way that resonated with students.

In collaboration with the professor, I co-crafted assignments, provided thoughtful feedback, and cultivated a space where students felt supported to explore and excel.

This experience deepened my expertise in qualitative research while honing my ability to simplify complex ideas and mentor others. It reinforced my passion for bridging research and design, a skill I now bring to every user research role.

Summer 2024 - Fall 2025

Research Assistant at The Health, Aging, and Technology (THAT) Lab

🔬 Advancing Knowledge: Research Assistantship

Immersed in the academic world of HCI, I analyze qualitative user data to uncover insights that address real-world challenges. My work involves crafting strategies to mitigate user pain points, advancing both research and practical solutions in the domain of health and aging technologies.

This role has been an incredible platform to contribute to impactful projects. I presented my findings on the hidden burdens of self-tracking technologies for older adults at the MobiCom 2024 conference and am currently preparing a paper for publication, further enriching the field with evidence-based insights.

This assistantship at THAT Lab fuels my passion for research-driven impact. It reinforces my commitment to understanding user challenges deeply and delivering solutions that are as empathetic as they are innovative—a philosophy I carry into every UX research endeavor.
